Baby Food Jars…

How cool is this?

Some of you may have seen this post for the ten minutes it was up last week, then Suzanne’s ribbon storage trumped it!  So here it is again, but check back later because there is going to be Valentine’s idea’s for your crafting pleasure coming up!

I am sure I am the last one on the internet to have seen this, but I had to share just in case there was someone like me who missed it.

I have a ton of baby food jars that I have been saving knowing that something cool would come along to use them with.  Now if only I had a place to put this pretty little creation.  If I had a covered patio in my back yard, or a little gazebo or something of the like I would start working on it right now to have it ready in time for spring.  But I don’t, not yet.  So for now it will be waiting in my to-do file.  Image and tutorial via Natural Home.

Now I still don’t know what to do with my jars.

Any ideas?

You could paint them with glass paint and use them as table top tea light holders… when the children are not around that is! I have a huge quantity of glass jars mounting up in our garage as I want to make some home made marmalade and chutney. Nothing as pretty as tea lights though!

No ideas for you my dear, but I do love that chandelier. I saw something similar in a magazine recently and wondered how it was made. Now, thanks to you, I know!

Any idea where one might procure barrel hoops?

A crafty friend of mine posted what she had done for her little girls first birthday party. She filled baby food jars with candy and tied a cute ribbon around the top for the party favors. They turned out really cute and I thought it was a smart way to reuse something.
