Baby Pumpkins!

by Suzanne on October 25, 2009

This is such a fun idea for those of you who have new babies or baby animals (maybe).  It might be a little gross because you put your sweet baby inside a carved out pumpkin but the results are worth it.

For this project you need:
  1. A baby
  2. real pumpkin carved
  3. black fabric for back ground
  4. tri-pod very helpful
  5. camera
  6. Boppy or pillows to stabilize pumpkin if needed
Have fun with this one, you might enlist a little help since little babies aren’t always as cooperative as we would like them to be.

Some great photo websites to help you with making cards or adding personal touches to your pictures are: Picasa which is free from google, Shutterfly, and Smilebox.  I’ve used all these and they are easy and user friendly!

Picnik was used for the editing on these pictures.  With Picnik there is nothing to download to your computer and it works well with the applications mentioned above.  They have a free package, as well as a premium package for a one time fee of $24.99.

These were also done on Picnik, with the premium package.

Upload your ‘lil pumpkins to our flickr group, we would love to see them!

No baby’s around your house?  No worries, we still have some fun things you can make just in time for Halloween:

How cute are these little ghost pillow boxes from A work in Progress?  You can download the printable template for free, and Cate has full instructions on how to construct the little gems.

I love this witches cauldron from Make it Do.  Can’t you see it sitting on your front porch Halloween night?  Love. It!  Calli has step by step instructions to help you get a better spook on for your front porch.

The very cool Mod Podge Rocks blog has the how-to on these little darlins.  They will be posting halloween projects all week.

Now which project are you going to make?

Cute Cute Cute. I don’t know if I could find a pumpkin big enough to fit my little guy. :)
Love this idea. The pages are so cute. Makes me want to be crafty.
