Button or Bead storage

by Suzanne on February 1, 2010

For those mother’s who used the little  plastic formula containers for your diaper bag now you have a new use for those when your ready to throw them out.

I turned mine into a place to store my loose buttons and other small things like googley eyes.  Just thought I would share a new use for something, hope it might help someone.

Really this can be used for all sorts of little craft embellishments, what would you use it for?  Give us some ideas…

We shared this over on Finesse Your Nest, go see all the fun ideas!

Great idea! Will have to remember that one when I’m finished with that stage! :)

Sorry, my girl is to old for me to have used those, but how about office stuff – paper clips, thumb tacks, those small “gum” eraser things?

Or, overnight stuff – hair tie stretchy things? OK totally mangled that one – pony tail holders or little barretts for girls? For boys, extra legos for in the car?

I’m done now – that’s all I got!

Happy Monday Y’all –

Oh, I snuck down to your last post – some of those little bottles were too cute!

Great idea! I just decluttered my kitchen and threw these away, ugh. Maybe I will find some at goodwill. Thanks for sharing.

Don’t you hate that when you throw something out then you find out you needed it or could have used it! It happens to me too.

Well.. if you could only see my cluttered desk and office right now, the title messy Marvin might fit better.

Clever Suzanne! I haven’t ever owned any of these, but I’m definitely going to keep my eyes open come garage sale season!

That is a great idea. I have a BIG tin for my buttons. I have way too many. It is sad, very, very sad.

What a great idea! I never would have thought of that. Of course they probably didn’t have those fancy containers when my son was a baby…you know, back in the 90′s. :)

Thanks for linking up to my party!

I made a button for it if you want to come grab the link. Check it out. If it is something you like, feel free to grab the code. Just click the perfume bottle pic at the top of my blog (and the code will be in the post).

Thanks,

This is such a clever way to repurpose. I’ll have to remember this.

This is a much, much better storage solution than the ziplock baggie that all of mine go in!

Smart.
