Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a great weekend. I had plans to get all kinds of things finished, but instead found myself outside enjoying the great weather. Good thing too, it’s supposed to be in the 90’s here this week so I should be all sorts of productive. I did get a chance to work on a diy project that would be great as a Mother’s Day gift but before I posted it I wanted to share some past projects that would be perfect too, enjoy!
Turn an old pocket watch into an Accordion Style Photo Album. I love love this project. I had promised my mom one of these, and still have the shell to do it. I actually found an old Avon make-up compact I am going to use, it has a mirror in the top – perfect for her key chain! So it is not just limited to a pocket watch shell.
Make a birdseed wreath, I especially love this idea for the kids to help make for Grandmothers. We have had a ton of feedback on this project, and a lot have made the wreaths little with mini bundt cake pans, or even use old butter tubs, with empty toilet paper rolls in the center.
Still loving this Diy Burlap Planter idea for a Mother’s Day gift. You can make it any size too. Also a great one the kids can help with.
Salt Pouches For The Shower Or Bath. I gave these to my mom for Mother’s Day three years ago and she loved them. In the morning she could take one in the shower – they would wake her up, slough away dead skin, and add a little luxury to the shower that is normally reserved for the bath.
A few more ideas:
- Make her some bath tea using a springy blend of oils
- Whip up a fresh batch of body scrubs
- Take one of Grandma’s embroidered pillowcases and turn it into a bag
- Make he a cake stand with candle sticks
There, that should keep you busy until I get back :)
We’re are changing hosts today, so I might be a bit late. I expect everything to go smoothly, and you should see a much faster loading time when they’re a finished!
See you soon,
