Easter Traditions with Kids

Easter Traditions with kids My girls are now are getting old enough to understand the true meaning of Easter…so it’s mine and my husband’s job to teach them.  :-)  I’m searching for traditions that we can start to help them realize that Easter is not all about the Easter Bunny and candy (although, we sure enjoy doing Easter egg hunts).

In my search I came across Resurrection Eggs in quite a few different places.  I had seen these in the past and have wanted to make them.  Mandi from Life Your Way has some awesome free printable cards that go along with the eggs that I’m excited to print out and use.  Then I came across this 8 Days of Easter Advent for Families, also from Life Your Way, that Kristina shared.  Such great ideas!  You really have to check it out.  I’m a little short on the Easter decor so this advent will have a dual purpose…sweet!

Now I’m asking for your help!  Please share  your traditions and what you do to teach your kids about the real meaning of Easter, Christ’s resurrection.  Holidays are also about the fun memories we make and the time we spend together with family and friends.  If you have any other fun traditions from Easter eggs hunts to dying the eggs, I’d love to hear those too!
