Hanging Child’s Artwork

hanging child's artwork

Where do you hang all your child’s artwork that they create?  About a year ago, with the help of a friend, I came up with a solution that has been working great for our family!  I hated to get rid of my girls’ artwork, but I was so tired of having a cluttered refrigerator.  Piles of art work were just lying around and we weren’t able to enjoy all of their awesome creations.  Have any of you ever felt that way?

We made this cute sign and I bought this curtain wire from Ikea (but any strong string and clothespins would work too).  Luckily I have a really long wall in our toy room that it can hang on.  It’s perfect because we all get to enjoy it and then when the girls create a new masterpiece, one comes down while the other goes up.  If the one taken down is “special” we take a picture of it so that I can eventually (key word) ;-) make a book of their artwork.

Now I’m feeling a lot less cluttered in my kitchen…uncluttered fridge

I once heard that a cluttered fridge represents the rest of a person’s home, so I always try to keep it as clutter free as possible.  I’m working hard to get the rest of my home clutter free…whew we are getting there!

What do you do with your child’s artwork?  Please share!

Thanks for stopping in!  Stay tuned to the Crafty Kids Corner.  I have some fun crafts for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter coming up in the next few weeks.

I used to have a scrap book where I kept their best artwork, and then started to scan them and print them out in photo-size — we still do that oldfashioned photo album thing, so this is a perfect place for the best artwork, too. Some stuff, of course, gets framed and put up on the wall between all the other family fotos…

So long,

Thanks for sharing Corinna! I think that is awesome that you are still doing photo albums! The few that I have my girls love to look through! I need to get all my pictures off the computer into a book or album of some kind so we can enjoy them.

My grandson does a lot of craft projects and we love them all, but of course we can’t keep everything. We keep the current ones on the bulletin board in his room, but when it get’s full, we take a photo of them and then put them on our Electronic Photo Frame. We add the date and his age too. We get to look at them all the time now.

Cheryl, I love that you put them in the Electronic Photo Frame, what a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
