Quick Tip :: Water And Hot Glue

Hot Glue Gun Quick Tip

Friend, I am about to change your crafting life forever.  Nothing kills a crafting buzz faster than a burn from even the slightest dab of glue from a hot glue gun – am I right?  It’s like it burns straight to the bone and then goes on sizzling for the rest of the day.  Then to really make matters worse, when you go to take the glue off, a layer of skin goes with it.

Well, next time you pull out the hot glue gun, grab a little bowl of water to keep close.  When you accidentally get a little glue on your finger, immediately stick it in the water.  No burn, no blister, and the glue slides right off.  It’s a lifesaver! Well, a finger saver at the very least.

I picked up this little nugget of wisdom from Kari who runs the fabulous diy site Ucreate.  She’s the best, that Kari.

Pull out this trick at your next crafting get-together and they’ll all think you’re a genius!
