My husband has been out of town for a week now, and for some reason that always results in late night sewing. I don’t know if it’s because I don’t sleep well when he’s not here, or if I can actually finish something without him buggin’ me :). Since I finally got a new printer, I have been sewing up a storm with all the printable patterns that have been on my list.

Oh the joys of the internet! One can decide, “Hey, I think I want to make a cute little dress tonight, maybe with that vintage pillowcase I have been hanging onto” and at a click of a mouse, you’re off and running. Never mind that you don’t make it into bed until after 1am, when you see it finished, it’s so worth it :).

Rae’s Itty Bitty Dress Pattern has been on my list for ages, and I have to say it was one of the funnest sewing projects. Oh the possibilities! I added the little detail on the front with a panel and ric-rac and then sewed bias tape on the underside of the hem. It just works out better that way for me…I’m sure it has nothing to do with my inferior bias tape skills ;).

I also did a faux piping with the same bias tape, I think it looks pretty good. Am thinking this will be a go-to pattern for me, you know for when you just have to sew something. It takes just a little fabric and you can mix it up so many ways. Here is the free pattern if you haven’t bookmarked it already!
Here are a few more things I have or will be working on..I might need to call the hubby and tell him to take a few more days..
- I bought this Laila Shirt Pattern from Yeppar months ago, and it is printed off ready to sew tonight. I love all of her designs, and she just added some new ones I think I might have to have.
- Love love this Ruffle Peasant Top from Ginger and Louise..it’s on my list.
- And this Lucy’s Little Flower Tunic Dress, it’s not available yet, but it will be soon. More to come on that!
- Last but not least, Ms. Shannon just posted this tutorial for a pleated fall tunic, ACCKK! The cuteness!
I will be up until at least 3 am tonight!
How about you, any favorite pdf patterns?
Oh and the winner for the Izzy & Ivy bag pattern and sprinkles is….
Shaina! I will be in touch!
I might be back a little later, if I finish something that is. Maybe midnight?
Have a great day friends,

adorable little dress, is this for Aubrey’s new one or are you trying to tell us something ? Ha ha :)
this is beautiful! I love the added touch the ric rac brings, so cute! I am the same way when hubby is out of town – get lots more sewing done – I secretly love it…lol
I love what you’ve done with this pattern.
So cute! You are so talented!
Beautiful! That is a very fun project. I only have little boys so I am really excited when a friend has a girl…they always get one of these. I love what you did with the bias tape! I am horrible with it and now know a better method for myself. Thanks for sharing!!!

I know this is old, but i have to say that your itty bitty dress looks so much cuter than the one i did for a friend! i used a red flower material and piping the middle and bias tape the bottom, but your embellishments are great. My SIL is due next month, so maybe I’ll try again with some of your ideas!! thanks so much.
Aw, thank you! I love using bias tape that way, I use it on a lot of projects! I would love to see what you come up with!
