Raffle For The Queensland Flood Appeal

Friends we are having a little break in the soup week for a chance to help out the flood victims in Australia.  I don’t know if you have read or seen anything about it, but the reports coming out of Queensland are heartbreaking.  Families have lost loved ones, homes, everything.  Toni from Make It Perfect has organized an online auction/raffle campaign to help raise funds for all those that have been affected.

This is why I love the blog community!  The auctions that have been organized have already raised over 45,000!  People from all around the world pulling from their talents, time, and pocket books to help.  It’s just awesome and I want to join in the effort.  So here is my offering:

I will make one of my Hot Pad Aprons out of this fabric:

I have been hanging on to it for the perfect project, and this seemed fitting.

I will be holding a raffle, starting today January 19th and ending on January 24th.  All you have to do is donate $5.oo to the Queensland Flood Appeal, come back and leave me a comment telling me you have and you are entered into the raffle.

I already donated so I could tell you how easy it was.  You only have to enter information in the starred fields, and it is a secure site.  It took me Two Minutes!  So please please, if you have two minutes of spare time and an extra five dollars, enter the raffle.

Once you have made the donation, just come back and leave a comment telling me you did. Here are a few rules:

• Make at least a $5.00 donation to the Queensland Flood appeal from the provided link
• Leave comment by January 26th 2011 midnight EST telling me you did
• You can leave a comment for every $5.00 you donate
