Simple Monogram Wreath

Pwreath

I’m excited to share with you todays’ post and hope you all like this wreath as much as I do.  I was browsing the craft books in Hobby Lobby and came accross This wreath.  I was thinking it would be perfect for my house in the fall and since the fall flowers were half off, how could I not do this simple project.  It didn’t take but 1/2 hour from start to finish so it’s definitely a “Make it Monday” idea.

Supplies:

Cardboard (I used an old box)

craft knife

glue gun

silk flowers

ribbon

Directions:

Draw the letter, I just did it free hand and made adjustments as I cut it out.  I didn’t even measure how big I wanted it, just eye balled it.

drawpCut the letter out with craft knife, make sure you do this on a surface that you don’t want scratched up, or double up the cardboard when you cut it.

cutpCut green leaves and cover the letter with these so the cardboard doesn’t show.

Pull off the flowers from the stems.

pulled flower Cut off the plastic close to the flower and then glue in place.  I tried to figure out my pattern first then glue the flowers on.

What do you do if your letter is W or M or V some letter and it doesn’t hang the way I’ve shown, easy just glue ribbon evenly to the back and then hang up.  Have fun making you own letter wreath.

Thanks, sure it would just glue some ribbon on the back of both sides and it will look great.

I LOVE this!!! I have been looking for an “S” so I could decorate it (for a lil over a year!) I never thought about cutting one from cardboard and I just saved a huge piece for a project that will now have to wait ;) b/c my front door is going to have an “S” before the night is over!! *yeay me* for stumbling across this wonderful bog!!! THANK YOU!!!!
