Ok , so last week I asked you all what I should sew in the coming weeks. I was really impressed with what you thought I was capable of (wink)! You did get my juices flowing though, and I have all sorts of ideas for the coming weeks. Having said that, there were a few requests that, well frankly, I just don’t dare claim to be good enough for. But don’t you fret…I scoured the web and found people who were and asked them if I could share them with you! Wahoo!
First I will tell you what I do have in store for the coming weeks: (lists…you know I love ‘em)
- a bag, the cutest easiest bag ever…seriously
- an apron you can make with 1 yard of fabric
- a skirt I am totally hacking from one I own
- some fun headbands
- one week of fast easy stuff you can make for Christmas
EEEEK!!! I am sooooo excited….you’d best stay tuned, cause how sad would that be if I went to all that work and nobody came to witness it. Pretty sad.
Now on to what I found for you, I will list you by name because around here we’re friends…and so that’s what we’ll do.
Afton, you asked for a really cool advent Calendar, I found one!
Abby over at A Feathered Nest has almost finished the prettiest advent calendar you will find, so I decided why try to reinvent the wheel, right? The first picture was her inspiration from Pottery Barn, hers will end up a little different. She has great instructions that span over a few posts so be sure to go to the home page for more on the project.
Jamie wanted a tutorial on a crayon roll up. Glad she did, now I know what I am going to give a lot of little ones for Christmas. There were a lot of tutorials for this, Cocoa from Chocolate on my Cranium made it look easy peasy pumpkin pie…
Krystal asked for Christmas stockings. These particular stockings were made at Gracie Lou’s, but the pattern is available at The Moda Bakeshop for free. I think Gracie Lou’s is also offering a free class on these, good stuff.
Summer said she wanted to make some little girl shoes. Again there are a lot of tutorials for this, but these are on my list to make, so naturally I think they should be on yours too, now that we’re friends n’all. Stardust shoes has the free pattern ready to downlowd!
There were a few requests for hot pads, and I know just the one to feature, so that one will be coming up soon , hopefully by my sis, since she was the one that I watched whip them out in 30 minutes. Plus this will be a test to see if she’s checking in on me…sneaky ‘eh!
Next week will be the most fabulous, easiest bag ever…no kidding, so make sure to pop in!

I’m baaaack!
Can’t wait for the apron tutorial. Those would make perfect Christmas gifts for girlfriends, coupled with a loaf of homemade bread.
Love, love, love the crayon roll-up.
Diddo on the homemade bread…I’ll be watching for you this christmas, I love the crayon roll up too, want to come over and make some with me?
Glad your home!
