So romantic! (This is also a good activity for long car trips, by the way). It is called Association. Someone starts with a random word, the next person to take a turn says what the first word made them immediately think of, the next turn goes off of the last word. Okay, this is hard to explain. Let me just give an example. First word: "Sky" Second person says, "Sky makes me think of clouds." The next person to go says "Clouds make me think of Snow." And you just go on associating from there. The best part of this game is if a word or association requires some explaining, so the other person gets the connection made from one word to another. It is also fun when the word brings up a story or family memory you can recall and laugh over. When we play the game, we have a hard time getting through more than 8 or 9 words before someone thinks of an anecdote to share. Soon we find ourselves laughing. Good moments.
