Trashbag Ghosts

by aubrey on October 13, 2010

For the past five days my house as been a little busy…with SEVEN little girls running around my house.  It has been so much fun to have my hubby’s sister and her family with five girls come visit!  Along with all the cute girls, she brought this cute idea with her.  It is my kind of craft because it is easy and you most likely have everything already on hand.

Supplies:

  • white garbage bags
  • recycled grocery bags or newspaper
  • twisty ties
  • tape/string and needle/string
  • scissors

After gathering all your supplies, lay your white garbage bag out to get ready to cut up.  Depending on the size you want your ghosts to be cut the garbage bag up into good size squares.  Form your grocery bag or newspaper into a ball to form the ghosts head.  Wrap it up and then twisty tie the to create the flowing body.  Then tape a string to the top of the head so you can hang the ghost where you choose.  **Tape may work if you don’t have the wind blowing.  When I put mine outside they all started to fall.  Instead, I used a needle and thread to thread the string through the top of the head.

So cute and so easy!

Do you have any last minute easy Halloween decorations?

So easy! And I have a Ton of bags to use. My entire neighborhood is all decked out with Halloween decorations, and my house looks a little left out. This will do the trick!

And Seven girls!!!! AUBREY?! How are you still breathing?! You’re awesome. That is all I can say!

Did you ever put tissue over a sucker to make these ghosts? I use to love making them as a kid.

Aubrey, you had me at seven girls. My eyes glazed over and I started to hyperventilate. If you can do this project with 7 little girls in your house then I can surely pull out some trashbags and try my hand at Halloween decor.
Best,
Tina
