Have you played with those little button kits? They are addicting, trust me. I try to find any excuse to use them and I thought they would make for a cute headband. It is the perfect way to incorporate fabric from an outfit you made. You can pick up the kits at any fabric/craft store, and once you buy the kit (less than $5.00) you only need to buy the buttons. Let’s get started!
Diy Button Headbands
Supplies:
- headband
- bias tape if headband not covered
- button making kit
- fabric
- heavy duty glue, or fabric glue

I had metal headbands, and I like to cover them with bias tape. It is easiest if you use double fold, but I only had single fold on hand so I just ironed it half.

Now just cut the bias tape the same length as the headband plus an inch. Place the headband inside of the bias tape, and then run a thin line of fabric glue along the top inside edge of the bias tape and seal with you fingertips, so easy!

Now fold over the ends and trim to just be able to fold over the end, glue down.

Next cover up your buttons per the package instructions and bend down the little tabs in the back. I did this on the corner of my table.

Now glue them on! I just used fabric glue.

I forgot to a picture of this, but after I had all the buttons glued on, I cut a piece of felt to match the back and glued on to secure the back.

Then just let it dry.
Hope everyone has a great week, I am off on a nine hour road trip with my two and four year old, all by myself. Yes, I may need your prayers

Talk soon!

oooh. cute! and i have everything needed to make it!
Thanks so much for considering.
I just started a linky party this past Tuesday. It was a great success with over 50 link ups! I would love it if you would participate next week! It’s called $10 Tuesdays and it’s for things that cost less than $10 and take 20-30 mins (ish) to complete. I love inexpensive and quick projects and I’m guessing others will too

Absolutely adorable!!
Where does one find a button-making kit?
Any craft store or fabric store should have them, and if you do a quick search on Amazon, you can find them there too. Beware, they can be addicting!
